Election Season: Poker pro Leans toward McCain

Posted @ 10:46 am

The Texas Holdem dolly, ole Doyle Brunson, voiced his opinion on the upcoming presidential election. Not surprisingly, the Texas native is in favor of the McCain-Palin Campaign.

Let’s see why.

Changing his opinion on the issue, Brunson first stated he “may be voting democrat for the first time in his life,” which by some estimates dates back to the days of king Solomon.

His stance comes from good old fashioned American Values. The ones from the days when America was a respected country. “It’s not hard to be in McCain’s camp after listening to his life story. He really is an American hero. [but] I’m not sure either presidential candidate is the right one to lead this country. [...] I wish Hillary was still in the Mix because that would mean Bill would still be around, and he proved he could lead us,” Brunson comments on his blog at Doyle’s Room.

It’s an odd stance though, as many Republican leaders strongly oppose online gambling. However, McCain remarked in an earlier press conference that online gambling prohibition is not of one is top priorities.

And rumor has it that all three McCain, Palin, and Obama are all skilled poker players.

If there was a fantasy league, and poker players wrote the rules of elections, I’m pretty sure there’d be a packed house if the presidency came down to the winner of a game of Hold ‘Em.

Actually, that’s not such a bad idea…
