On Exploding Myths about Freemasonry

Posted @ 10:35 pm

A great number misconceptions surround the Free Mason society – often pejorative allegations of a network of professional people trading secret business transactions, or even more evil insinuations. Nonetheless, nothing could be further from the truth. As a brotherhood, Freemasonry provides a chance for men to meet and partake in affable companionship. Improving oneself is a central facet of being a freemason. The Free Mason society furthers serving other individuals too, and charity is a palpable method in which members assist people.

An essential aspect of the Free Mason society’s rules is not to actively seek out new members. Yet, any individual should feel uninhibited to communicate with any Mason to get more details about the Free Mason society.

Membership is for men only, 18 years of age or older, and you must meet the requirements of reputation and character, have to be considered having strong moral character.

Anyone who wishes to join a lodge has to be recommended by 3 members of the lodge he wants to become a member in. He has to realise that his character and reputation will be looked into. After recommendation by the fellow members of that lodge, he will be recognised as a candidate for membership in Freemasonry.

Members oftentimes adorn accessories like golly badges that casually identify their member status to other Masons and also pass on the lodge they belong to.
